Planar Magnetic Driver uses a thin, flat diaphragm plate, embedded with wiring and suspended in a magnetic cavity, allowing the diaphragm to move like a piston across the entire frequency range. The diaphragm plate is lightweight, responsive, and produces a more accurate and precise sound than conventional dynamic systems.
Conventional planar headphones often use different wire sizes to balance the magnetic field. EqualMass™ improves upon this by connecting different wire sizes in parallel, resulting in a more even diaphragm with more power, more even weight distribution, and stable movement with near-zero distortion. The second generation of EqualMass™ also adds a symmetrical wire structure for improved stability across the frequency range.
